Clear Braces in Frisco, The Colony & Prosper TX
Aesthetic Alternative to Invisalign
Great for Adults, Teens & Kids
In-Network with Most Insurance Plans
At Elate Orthodontics, we offer clear ceramic braces for patients who want the reliability of braces without the metallic look. Our clear braces provide the same corrective power as traditional metal braces, using tooth-colored brackets that blend naturally with your smile. Available at our Frisco, The Colony, and Prosper locations.
What Are Clear Braces?
Clear braces, also called ceramic braces, work exactly the same way as traditional braces. Brackets are bonded to each tooth, an archwire applies gentle pressure, and regular adjustment appointments move your teeth into alignment over time. The only difference is the bracket material: instead of stainless steel, ceramic brackets are tooth-colored, making them far less visible from a normal speaking distance.
More Aesthetic
Tooth-colored brackets blend with natural enamel, making them far less noticeable than metal in photos, video calls, and everyday conversation.
Effective for All Cases
Unlike clear aligners, ceramic braces can handle mild to severe misalignment, crowding, overbite, underbite, open bite, and crossbite.
Ideal for Teens & Adults
Popular with working professionals, college students, and older teens who want effective treatment without drawing attention to their orthodontic appliance.

🦲

Patients who prefer not to manage removable trays or who want treatment that works continuously without relying on compliance.
How to Care for Clear Braces
The ceramic brackets themselves are stain-resistant, but the small elastic ties that hold the wire to the bracket can pick up color from dark foods and drinks. Good daily habits keep your clear braces looking their best throughout treatment.
Brush after every meal
Food particles left around brackets are the main cause of staining and decay. A quick brush after eating makes a significant difference.
Floss daily
Use floss threaders or a water flosser to clean under the wire along the gumline. This prevents gum inflammation and white spots.
Limit staining foods
Coffee, tea, dark sodas, and curry are the main culprits. If you do have them, rinse with water immediately and brush as soon as you can.
Use a soft-bristle brush
Hard bristles can scratch the ceramic surface and damage the bonding around brackets. Soft bristles clean just as effectively with less risk.

Clear Braces Questions, Answered
How much do clear braces cost?
Clear braces at Elate Orthodontics typically fall in the $3,500 to $6,000 range, depending on case complexity and treatment length. We price them close to metal braces and offer the same flexible monthly payment plans. A free consultation includes a personalized cost breakdown.
Are clear braces cheaper than Invisalign?
Clear braces are generally comparable in price to Invisalign and may be slightly more affordable in certain cases. At Elate Orthodontics, we offer both at competitive prices so you can choose based on your case needs and lifestyle preference.
Does insurance cover clear braces?
Yes. Most dental insurance plans that cover orthodontics apply the same benefit to clear ceramic braces as to metal braces. We are in-network with most major PPO plans and verify your coverage before treatment begins.
Do invisible braces really work?
Yes. Clear ceramic braces are clinically identical in function to metal braces. The brackets are a different material, but the biomechanics are the same. They can handle the same range of cases, including complex crowding, overbite, underbite, and crossbite.
What are the downsides of clear braces?
The brackets themselves are stain-resistant, but the elastic ties that secure the wire can pick up color from dark foods and drinks between appointments. They are also slightly more fragile than metal brackets, though breakage is uncommon with normal care. Treatment time is similar to metal braces.
Do clear braces go yellow?
The ceramic brackets themselves are highly stain-resistant and stay clear throughout treatment. The ligature ties (the small elastic bands) can discolor from coffee, tea, curry, and similar foods. Since ties are replaced at every adjustment appointment, any discoloration is temporary.
Can clear braces fix an overbite or deep bite?
Yes. Clear braces are fully capable of correcting overbites and deep bites, often using bite turbos or elastics as part of the treatment mechanics. Even severe overbites can typically be corrected with braces, though very skeletal cases may require additional treatment planning. See our before and after results for overbite cases.
What happens if an overbite or deep bite is left untreated?
Mild overbites may not cause noticeable problems, but moderate to severe cases can lead to excessive tooth wear, jaw pain, gum recession on the lower front teeth, and long-term joint strain. Early evaluation and treatment prevents these complications from worsening over time.
How much does deep bite or overbite correction cost?
Overbite and deep bite correction is typically included in the total braces treatment fee, which ranges from $3,500 to $6,500 at Elate Orthodontics. It is not billed as a separate procedure. We offer 0% interest monthly payment plans to keep treatment accessible.
What do crowded teeth look like, and can clear braces fix them?
Crowded teeth typically appear twisted, overlapping, or pushed out of line relative to neighboring teeth. Common signs include difficulty flossing, overlapping lower front teeth, or a canine sitting higher than the rest of the arch. Clear braces correct crowding at any severity level and for patients of any age.
