HOW IT ALL BEGAN...
2018: PLANNING
We wanted to directly serve our community to the
Elate Standard. We started the planning process
in 2018. We worked with Kappler Design to
design the most advanced orthodontic facility
with European clean design infused with a Texas
warm welcome!
FEBRUARY 2019: THE COLONY
We opened our first location in The Colony.
This location was our first impression on the
community. We wanted the community to have
a modern, clean and comfortable experience
with us.
SEPTEMBER 2020: TRIBUTE
During Covid we knew we needed to expand
our reach and be more involved with our com-
munity. We opened a second location in West
Frisco, allowing us to care for more families.
DECEMBER 2022: HOLLYHOCK
To complete our strategic plan of serving
families along 423, including West Frisco, The
Colony, Little Elm, Prosper, and Aubrey.
This location homes the most advanced
technologies in orthodontics in a modern,
yet welcoming environment. We opened
our doors on our daughter, Amelia’s, fourth
birthday! Life cannot wait for work!
2023 & BEYOND
We are focusing on and growing our
three offices, while leaving an unmatched
experience for our clients and their families.

Meet Dr. Julia Kang Meet Dr. Kevin Baharvand
You have made a great decision seeking
orthodontic care at Elate Orthodontics. My
name is Julia Kang, I am a mother, wife and an
orthodontist. Together with Dr. Baharvand, we
have founded Elate Orthodontics on what we
truly and heartily believe in: Serving hardworking
families the health and happiness they deserve.
I love doing what I do which has enabled
me to establish a strong relationship with my
patients and their families. I am glad to have the
opportunity to walk with you on your journey to a
confident smile.
I would like to thank you for looking into orthodontic
treatment for yourself or your family. My name is
Kevin Baharvand, aka Dr.B, I am a board-certified
orthodontist excited to provide you with health and
happiness. I have worked hundreds of hours to
master skills and systems to provide you with the
cutting-edge orthodontics. I am determined to take
great care of you and your beloved ones.

In our final year of school at Boston University, we worked on an orthodontic project together as
general dentists, and the rest was history…We worked in the same dental office in Massachusetts after
graduation, went to the same orthodontic residency and are now practicing in our practices together.

Seoul National University in South Korea–the

She started playing piano from a young age
and continued receiving an advanced level
of art education at Seoul Arts Academy, a
renowned institute for young and gifted artists.

We know our patients by name and connect with their lives outside of orthodontics.
Orthodontic treatment is typically a 2-year experience - over this period we build
relationships with our families and get to watch them evolve over time.
At Elate, we are family-owned (no corporate big wigs
around here!). It’s our mission that our patients feel cared
for like our own family members. We want to meet your
needs. That’s why we offer weekend availability one
Saturday every six weeks. We provide backup retainers at
no-cost because we know life happens. In ways big and
small, we aim to make you smile and provide the best care
during our time together.
We believe that less dentistry is the best dentistry! We
want to educate you and your family about your treatment,
discuss the various options available and help you choose
the simplest, most conservative yet most effective approach
in addressing them.
Our first question is always “What would I do if it
were my family being treated?”
We invest our time, money, and resources into our community.
We attend various school events year-round. Currently
sponsoring tags and school folders in over 20 schools along
FM-423.
We are fully digital orthodontic practices - from digital
consent forms to scanning, 3D printing models and in-
house aligners. We partner with established companies
such as Invisalign and Spark to bring the best quality to our
community.
We want to ensure our patients don’t have to compromise
care due to costs. We offer strong in-house financing so you
can get the care you need by allowing you to choose your
down-payment and monthly payments. We also partner with
insurance carriers.
Internationally Recognized: One of our patients was published on the cover
of the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics,
the most renowned orthodontic journal. Only 12 orthodontists have the
opportunity to be published each year in the entire world.
